    Position: Alternate Program Manager

     

    Type: Full-Time

     

    Travel: 20%

     

    *Contingent upon award*

     

    Position Summary: The Alternate Program Manager shall act for the Contractor when the Program Manager is absent. The Alternate Program Manager is responsible for the performance of the work under this contract and shall serve as the central contractor Point of Contact (POC) with the Government. The PM may be hands-on and hold collateral duties IAW the PWS.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Manage areas of administration, program control, and technical supervision of personnel involved in support of contract requirements

    + Effectively interface with the Government's Contracting Officer's Representative (COR)

    + Be available to the Government during normal business hours and available during all other times of need as required

    + Build and maintain working relationships with team members, vendors, clients, and other departments involved in the project

    + Oversee that all deliverables, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, are completed on time and in accordance with the provided requirements

    + Supervise, direct, and mentor subordinate staff; communicate job expectations and enforce organizational policies, procedures, and core values; responsible for approving timecards and conducting performance reviews and disciplinary measures

    + Manage staffing, training, and daily operations to meet contract requirements

    + Monitor work performance, Task Order compliance, and quality control; ensure that project goals or objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters

    Required Skills and Abilities:

    + Must be a U.S. citizen

    + Must have and maintain a valid driver's license

    + Must have a successfully completed NACI background check

    + Minimum of five years' experience working Logistical Management in the areas of maintenance, property, supply, budget, and transportation

    + Possess experience in managing 5 to 10 personnel within and outside of the primary workspace

    + Effective written and oral communications skills

    + Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

    + Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work

    + Attention to detail and ability to multi-task

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

    + Bachelor's Degree Preferred

    Physical Demands and Work Environment:

    While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk, listen, and write. The employee frequently is required to use foot/ankle motions, hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
