    The role** **you** **’ll** **contribute** **:

    Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant will follow the plan of care, provide training in functional activities and monitor patient progress. Physical therapist assistant will work with patients with varied diagnoses.

    Th** **e value** **you’ll** **bring to the team** **:

    + Administers treatments as discussed in the plan of care including application of physical agents, and manual techniques to improve and maintain function. Instructs, motivates, and assistspatients to perform various functional physical activities and exercises.

    + Observes patients during treatments to compile and evaluate data on their responses and progress and provides results to physical therapists in person or through treatment notes.

    + Confers with physical therapy staff or others to discuss and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment.

    + Instructs patient and family in treatment procedures to be continued at home, and educates patient and family regarding patient’s condition, progress, or lack thereof, and documents such in the patient chart.

    + Assesses effects of treatment at various stages and confers with physical therapist to adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit and outcome.
