Summary:
The Education Department Coordinator is the primary administrative support for the Department of Nursing Education, Professional Practice, Library Services, Diabetes Education and additional departments as assigned. This role is responsible for department administrative tasks which maintain daily operations in addition to hospital initiatives. The Education Department Coordinator has excellent computer proficiency, organization, and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
• Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint and Word
• Provides administrator support for the learning management system (LMS)
• Primary administrative support for the department includes but not limited to answering calls, ordering of supplies, making copies and maintaining files
• Records, transcribes and disseminates meeting minutes and attendance as assigned
• Facilitates scheduling meetings and programs, and ensures rooms and equipment are reserved
• Processes reimbursements, preceptor bonus and other items through the Department of Nursing
• Provides administrative support for onboarding and compliance of students through the Department of Nursing
• Performs other duties as assigned
Education or Equivalent Experience:
+ High School or GED Equivalent
+ 1 + years administrative assistant experience preferred
