• Senior Accountant I - Internal Controls

    Job Description

    This position is responsible for internal controls documentation, reconciliations, management reporting, preparation of supporting schedules, financial analysis, benchmarking, and accounting for certain reserves and other special projects.

    Responsibilities

    * Perform accounting research and prepare supporting documentation.

    * Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.

    * Prepare financial schedules, reports and presentations for executive management.

    * Prepare and reference financial information for internal controls over financial reporting.

    * Other duties and projects, as assigned.

    * Work with process owners to update SOX internal control narratives and prepare process diagrams for new or updated processes.

    * Schedule and participate in annual and follow-up walkthroughs with external auditors.

    * Assist with the preparation of SOX scoping, surveys and risk assessments.

    * Prepare SOC 1 checklists for third-party systems.

    * Assist with internal control certifications and management reporting.

    * Prepare schedules and journal entries for the accounting of certain reserves.

    Requirements

    * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (four-year college or university), required

    * 2 years Minimum two years accounting experience with more preferred. Public accounting experience preferred.

    * Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with a focus in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams, required

    * Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, preferred

    Other Details

    * Generally 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on workload and time of year.

    * This is a salary position paid biweekly.
