In this position...
The Senior Software Engineer role will focus on developing Manufacturing IIoT web applications in a modern development stack by leveraging and expanding the IIoT platform. You will work with the technology stack to bring new capabilities to manufacturing users that are faster, more reliable, and more available than ever before. These products are key enablers to the production of next generation EVs and will be deployed and expanded to support these programs. This position is an opportunity to build modern web applications supporting the manufacturing organization, developing new software from scratch in consultation directly with end users.
This is a hybrid position in Dearborn, MI.
What you'll do...
+ Work with product team to design and develop innovative products.
+ Provide technical leadership to other software engineers
+ Develop sound technical practices within the team (TDD, Pair Programming) Communicate technical point of view
+ Collaborate with internal and external teams on integrations
+ Participate in product team agile ceremonies
+ Work with product manager/product designer to define technical features and user stories
+ Coding and technical configuration in Angular/Java Springboot/MongoDB
+ Collaborate with IIoT business partners on innovative Plant Floor Data Management and Processing
+ Understand customer needs through Human Centered Design Thinking Collaborate with Enterprise architecture on strategic technical solutions
You'll have...
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field or a combination of education and equivalent work experience
+ 5+ years of experience in Technical/Software engineer or craftsmanship role
+ 5+ years of experience designing/implementing APIs/Microservices/Springboot framework
+ 5+ years of experience designing/implementing application visualizations using Angular/React web frameworks or other web frameworks
Even better, you may have…
+ Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field
+ High degree of self-motivation and ability to operate with limited supervision
+ Experience with Google Cloud Platform
+ Automotive or Manufacturing experience
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Candidate is up to date and knowledgeable of Ford Technical standards and Industry wide best practices
+ Results orientated with a customer focused attitude
+ Skilled at programming in Java, JavaScript and other languages
+ Demonstrable experience working in a fast-paced agile environment.
+ Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills
+ Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices

This position is a range of salary grades **6-8** .
