This position ensures patients have been cleared for specialty services office visits. Point person for all hospitals, department and other health care facilities pertaining to questions and concerns on all provider orders/referrals/prior authorizations/workques. Provides support to clinical staff in order to facilitate the administrative components of clinical referrals for various services. Acts as a liaison between hospital, physicians, health plans, vendors and patients, or other referral services. Manages all outgoing referrals to appropriate agencies to assist the client in achieving the goals and objectives identified in their Care Plan. ** *Required* Associate’s degree or equivalent knowledge in ambulatory environment. Five years’ experience working with referral processes. Familiarity with EPC EHR system *Preferred* Experience in ambulatory healthcare environment with front and back-end office process involving patient scheduling, registration, information flow, billing/coding and office systems.
