At CCaaS Platform, we’re at the forefront of designing and deploying Walmart’s next generation Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) platform. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Software Engineering to join our team. In this leadership role, you will report directly to the Sr. Director of Engineering and GenAI. You will be responsible for leading a talented team of Sr. Managers, Software Engineers, and Data Scientists in developing the multi-tenant Contact Center Platform and innovative Machine Learning and Generative AI systems, as well as architecting enterprise-grade microservices and pipelines.
What you'll do:
As a director, you will be instrumental in defining the technical vision and architecture of systems, ensuring they meet performance, security, and scalability requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, guide engineering efforts, and lead the adoption of cutting-edge technologies to build reliable, high-quality platform software solutions. You will be responsible for attracting, developing, and growing top engineering talent while fostering a culture of innovation and high performance.
+ Build, develop, and guide high-performing talent. Define a long-term talent strategy across technology. Provide supervision, mentoring, and development opportunities for the team reporting to you.
+ Provide guidance in applying the right architectural patterns for the modernization of applications by analyzing gaps between existing architecture and new business requirements.
+ Drive automation and CI/CD maturity.
+ Implement telemetry features based on domain requirements to improve the overall operational excellence of the application.
+ Provide technical leadership in building complex microservices-based platforms or products that are highly reliable and scalable.
+ Conduct technical impact analysis, perform root cause analyses (RCAs) with corrective actions for both short-term and long-term fixes, and prevent recurrence.
+ Operate with excellence by managing KPIs, delivering excellence, presenting at all levels, and developing yourself and others.
+ Analyze system performance impacting the complete product for non-functional requirements like reliability, operability, performance efficiency, and security.
+ Develop and implement strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting, selecting, and developing talent; supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent.
What you'll bring:

+ Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area, and 15+ years of experience in software engineering or a related area.
+ Deep working knowledge of all aspects of cloud-native distributed system development: Azure/GCP/WCNP preferred.
+ Experience working with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
+ Experience managing software development engineers, leaders, architects, and leading engineering projects, guiding engineering teams on engineering excellence, and solid system design.
+ Experience partnering with cross-functional project development and collaborating with other scrum teams, QA, Release Management, Program Management, and TechOps.
+ Proven experience in the design, development, and scaling of software platforms for large user bases, focusing on modularity and extensibility.
+ Platform-focused decision-making, balancing technical and business needs in fast-paced, complex environments to ensure performance and scalability.
+ Experience collaborating with geographically distributed teams to align on platform goals.
+ Strong business acumen, integrating technical vision with strategic business insights.

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$260,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 2: 8 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
