The mission is to provide world-class software development, integration, testing, and software sustainment support for national air traffic control systems.

     

    Work is during standard business hours, however, testing events may take place in evening hours. Overtime work and work during non-standard business hours can occur during surge events.

    What You Will Do:

    + You will work onsite at the FAA’s Technical Center for Advanced Aerospace working directly with our customer

    + You will support software development to include technical documentation, software testing, software enhancements, bug fixes, and troubleshooting.

    + You will work as an individual and as part of a team, meeting deadlines and providing accurate compliant solutions.

    + You will be required to obtain a Department of Transportation Clearance.

    Must Have Qualifications:

    + Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevant experience in software engineering or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 3 years of prior relevant experience in software engineering

    + Prior experience in C/C++ programming languages and SQL

    + Prior experience in a Linux/Unix operating environment

    Qualifications We Prefer:

    + Experience with ClearCase; Red Hat Linux; Python, Java J2EE / .Net; Oracle database and HTML / QT/GTK

    + Experience with software testing methodologies: integration, testing process, validation activities, automated testing, software test and analysis tools

    + Experience with designing and creating technical documentation

    + Experience with STARS or other similar Air Traffic Control systems

    **Onsite:** Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

    The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

     

    RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

     

    This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
