What you will do:
Pratt & Whitney is seeking a visionary and experienced Director to lead our new Production Planning Center of Excellence (COE). This role is pivotal in driving excellence and innovation in our production planning processes across our operations sites. The Director will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in production planning leadership and a passion for operational excellence.
+ Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Production Planning Center of Excellence, ensuring best-in-class production planning practices.
+ Develop and implement a comprehensive production planning strategy that aligns with the company’s overall business objectives.
+ Lead and mentor a team of production planning professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration.
+ Establish and maintain standardized production planning processes, tools, and methodologies across manufacturing operations.
+ Drive the adoption of advanced planning technologies and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy in production planning.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, and finance to ensure seamless integration and alignment of production planning activities.
+ Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and production metrics to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
+ Conduct regular assessments and audits of production planning processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
+ Lead initiatives to optimize resource allocation, reduce lead times, and improve overall production efficiency.
+ Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in production planning and operational excellence.
+ Represent the Production Planning COE in executive meetings and provide regular updates on progress, challenges, and achievements.
Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree and 14 years of experience in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Or an advanced degree with 12 years of experience.
+ U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience in production planning and operations management
+ Knowledge of production planning principles, practices, and technologies.
+ Experience using production planning software and tools (e.g., SAP, APO).
+ Certification in production and inventory management (e.g., APICS CPIM) and/or continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) is highly desirable.

This role is:
**Hybrid:** Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis.
The salary range for this role is 176,000 USD - 352,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
