    What's the job?

     

    The Associate Retail Territory Representative is an entry-level field position designed to build foundational experience and support the broader Retail Territory Rep Team. This role will assist in executing store-level sales and merchandising activities while developing the skills necessary to transition into a full Retail Territory Representative (RTR) role. The Associate RTR will learn through hands-on experience, shadowing senior team members, engaging with store associates, and supporting regional sales initiatives within major home improvement retailers. This position is ideal for individuals seeking career growth in sales, retail account development, and building materials.

    Essential Functions:

    • Enhance the safety culture of CertainTeed / Saint-Gobain by personally committing to and demonstrating safe work practices and ethics.

    • Support Retail Territory Representatives with store visits, merchandising projects, and promotional setups.

    • Assist with in-store product knowledge sessions, including ride-alongs or co-presenting with senior RTRs.

    • Help maintain Point-of-Purchase materials and CertainTeed displays under the guidance of the RTR.

    • Collect competitive intelligence through comp shops and share findings via CRM.

    • Learn and support CRM reporting, activity tracking, and administrative follow-ups.

    • Participate in contractor events and store-level demos in a support role.

    • Develop working relationships with store-level personnel such as Pro Desk associates and department leads.

    • Contribute to team calls and trainings to build familiarity with company goals and retail strategy.

    • Support new product rollouts and reset efforts in partnership with the Retail team.

    + Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent practical experience).

    + Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

    + Strong communication and interpersonal skills; eager to learn from senior team members.

    + Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable in fast-paced retail environments.

    + Demonstrates initiative, reliability, and a desire for growth.

    + Willingness to travel regionally (up to 50%) with guidance and planning support.

    Certain locations require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is **$56,000** to **$84,000** per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

     

    In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is **7%** of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is **$59,900** to **$89,800** Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
