Job Overview

Fairview Health Services is looking for a **Lead** Housekeeping Aide at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN! This position is **80 hours per two week** pay period on the **Evening Shift (4:00pm - 12:30am with rotating weekends)** . This position is benefit eligible!

Responsibilities

+ Maintains knowledge of, and follows, all relevant laws, regulations and policies, procedures and standards

+ Actively participates in building and implementing improvements to achieve clinical happiness and efficient outcomes

+ Cleans all occupied rooms daily to build a clean, sanitary environment for patients

+ Prepares discharge units and/or surgical procedure and completes end of day cleaning in surgical procedures rooms to provide a clean sanitary environment

+ Maintains and clean and attractive areas including: maintaining of hard surface and carpeted flooring, cleans offices and public areas, collects and disposes of waste

+ Cleans up after emergency spills and breakages to prevent exposure to substances that could be hazardous in a timely manner

+ Maintains and performs special work assignments and reports to supervisor upon completion to follow quality and frequency standards in department policy and procedure manual

+ Understands the security requirements of medications and IV solutions

+ Restocks paper supplies upon daily cleaning of area to ensure they are adequately filled and maintains linen distribution system to provide user areas with adequate amounts of linen to give patient care

+ Mixes, uses supplies and maintains equipment to aid in cost containment and safety

Qualifications

Preferred

+ Previous Housekeeping/Environmental Service experience

+ Able to lift 0 - 40lbs frequently

+ Capable of standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching continuously throughout a shift

+ Capable of pushing and pulling a maid cart, linen cart, or various equipment (over 100lbs) on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift

+ Capable to handle/interact with all chemicals used (i.e. bleach, wax, disinfectant, etc.)

+ Capable to work weekends, holidays, and even hours as needed per assigned area

+ Must have interpersonal skills in English (reading, writing, and speaking)

+ Requires ability to work independently

+ Able to clean using repetitive motions, reach above shoulders, stoop and bend at the knees.

Additional Requirements

+ Depending on individual job assignment must be able to operate automated cleaning equipment/machinery.

+ Proficient in speaking and reading the English language
