    Description

    The Opportunity:

    As a Logistics Service Representative, you make a difference by providing transportation solutions to our customer's freight needs while working with our extensive network of carriers. This fast-paced position requires looking for creative solutions that exceed our customers' and carriers' expectations! In addition, you will be responsible for negotiating rates with customers and carriers and developing business solutions with them.

    The Fit:

    + Communicate with customers, carriers, shippers, receivers, scheduling contacts, etc. to assure proper movement of the product and on-time pickup and delivery is met

    + Negotiate rates and give competitive pricing

    + Gain credibility with clients and carriers by resolving conflicts in a positive and professional manner

    + Facilitate new customer and carrier opportunities by carrying out prospective calls and emails

    The Experience:

    + Strong Customer Service skills, specifically via phone and email.

    + Ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment.

    + Demonstrates attention to detail.

    + Customer service, sales experience preferred.

    + Strong ability to multi-task, think creatively, and make quick decisions

    + Ability to learn and use multiple computer systems

    + Willingness to take on new or additional responsibilities
