    As the Director of Finance for the Commercial and Component Group (CCG) at Micron Technology, Inc., you will serve as the strategic financial leader and trusted advisor to the CCG business unit. You will be responsible for driving financial performance, enabling data-driven decision-making, and leading a high-performing finance team. This role requires a strong blend of strategic thinking, operational execution, and cross-functional collaboration to support CCG’s growth and profitability goals. This includes strategic planning, financial forecasting, performance analysis, and providing data-driven recommendations to the CCG Leadership. You will partner and share responsibility for internal Profit and Loss (P&L) management, manage your team through performance development, and create an environment of continuous improvement.

     

    As a senior finance leader, this role is looked upon to provide leadership in creating an environment where business and financial information is accessible, timely, accurate, and relevant to the decision-making process. You will be expected to be an independent, trusted advisor to management through interpreting business results and assessing business risk. You will be adept at using a variety of tools to carry out your responsibilities, including operational and financial data warehouses, profitability models, pricing models, ROI analyses, and product cost analyses.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Partner with the CCG CVP and leadership team to shape and execute business strategy.

    + Lead financial planning, forecasting, portfolio optimization, and performance analysis for the CCG business unit.

    + Work closely with Marketing, Sales, and Operations to assess forecast accuracy and provide recommendations for enhancing financial performance.

    + Drive strategic initiatives aimed at revenue growth, profit maximization, and risk management within the CCG business unit.

    + Oversee CPG Net Revenue forecasting by managing Gross-to-Net pricing in partnership with CPG Pricing, Sales, and Sales Operations.

    + Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing obsolescence risks.

    + Evaluate the effectiveness of key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure timely, transparent reporting.

    + Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the department.

    Manage Performance and Development of Team Members:

    + Allocate resources to meet timelines and deliverables within the group.

    + Provide required resources to enable team member success.

    + Establish goals and conduct performance appraisals.

    + Coach and provide career development.

    + Provide recognition and drive accountability.

    + Foster an environment of continual improvement.

    + Identify headcount needs and make hiring decisions.

    Minimum Required Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

    + 12+ years of progressive finance experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role.

    + Demonstrated experience in financial planning, forecasting, and P&L management in a global business environment.

    + Proven ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and influence business decisions.

    + Experience with financial systems and tools such as TM1, SAP, or Power BI.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Business, or related field.

    + Semiconductor or technology industry experience, particularly in a BU finance or CFO role.

    + Track record of delivering process improvements in forecasting, reporting, or profitability analysis.

    + Experience building and scaling financial dashboards and analytics tools.

    + Strong understanding of product and customer profitability modeling and inventory risk management.

    The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

    $146,000.00 - $303,500.00

     

    Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
