The Owner's Representative role involves managing projects from initiation to completion, including funding, design, construction, and closeout. The role requires coordination with various internal and external teams, making it a broad and demanding position. The ideal candidate should have a technical background, preferably with an engineering or construction management degree. You must be able to manage the technical aspects of design and construction in a healthcare environment, including control and FGI regulations.
A caregiver in this position works days, from 7:30am-5:00pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Organize, chair and represent the Owner at regular project meetings; provide advice that will help facilitate economical, efficient and desired outcomes.
+ Serve as Project Manager for each project, facilitates communication between all team members, prepares and presents project status updates to include budget, schedule, and outstanding issues.
+ Monitor and direct all preconstruction and construction services provided by the construction team members.
+ Review and recommend payment on requests, services rendered and/or goods received.
+ Ensure documents are prepared as scheduled.
+ Monitor cost and progress on assigned projects throughout construction phases, including close-out.
+ Act as a liaison between the project team and all other Cleveland Clinic departments.
+ Provide regular communication with departments involved in construction projects to ensure project milestones are met, momentum is maintained and issues are addressed proactively.
+ Overseen and coordinate due diligence initiatives with internal and external partners.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Planning, Construction Management or related program
+ 8 years of experience in Project/Construction Management of Commercial and/or Public/Healthcare Facility Construction with full responsibility for coordinating complex projects with construction values more than $10M
+ Additional work experience may substitute for the degree requirement
+ Knowledge of construction/architectural terms and practices, ability to read construction documents and actively participate in contract process
+ Can provide an overview and recommendations on engineering, design and scope, as well as, contract terms, budgets, change management, schedules, extensions, and resolution of issues throughout the project life cycle
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and web-based software
+ Project Managment experience
+ Technical background
+ Hospital construction experience
+ Communication skills
+ Organizational skills
+ Can manage multiple projects from initiation to completion
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Valid Certificate of Registration as a Professional Engineer or licensed Architect in the State of Ohio
+ Valid Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential by the Construction Manager Certification Institute (CMCI)
+ Valid Certified Healthcare Constructor credential by the American Hospital Association
+ Healthcare experience
+ Experience with LEAN design and construction principles and techniques, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects, and utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM)

Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $48.99
Maximum hourly: $74.71
