Vice President - Turf Manufacturing & Operations

Position Overview

Shaw Industries is recruiting for a Vice President of Turf Manufacturing and Operations to d rive the vision, culture, and operational excellence across the Turf business by leading and optimizing manufacturing and support functions.

As a key member of the Turf Leadership Team (TLT), the Vice President of Turf Manufacturing & Operations drives the vision, strategy, and operational excellence for the Turf business. This role leads all aspects of manufacturing and support functions, fostering a high-performance culture rooted in innovation, strategic alignment, and continuous improvement. In close partnership with enterprise leaders and vertical manufacturing peers, this leader champions operational capabilities that align with market needs, customer expectations, and long-term business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the long-term strategic roadmap for Turf manufacturing and operational support functions, ensuring enterprise-wide alignment and adoption.

+ Customer-Centric Execution: Engage with customers and markets to gain insights that shape operational strategies and strengthen strategic partnerships.

+ Talent Development: Attract, develop, and retain high-performing talent. Build leadership bench strength through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.

+ Operational Excellence: Oversee the execution of safety, quality, cost, and service objectives, driving measurable improvements across all performance indicators.

+ Enterprise Collaboration: Actively partner with cross-functional and business-unit leaders to deliver enterprise value and ensure integrated solutions across the manufacturing network.

+ Sustainability & Compliance: Ensure manufacturing practices meet all regulatory, environmental, and sustainability requirements at the state and federal levels.

+ Resource Optimization: Champion capacity planning, ESOP strategy, and process improvements that enhance operational agility and cost-efficiency.

+ Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives focused on profitability, including lean practices, cost reduction opportunities, and scalable process innovation.

+ P&L Ownership: Provide strategic and financial oversight to plant operations, with a sharp focus on cost control, margin improvement, and overall business health.

+ Manufacturing Innovation: Leverage internal and external capabilities—including toll processors and sourced manufacturing—to optimize production networks and supply chain agility.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree required

+ Proven progression through leadership roles in manufacturing or operations.

+ Extensive experience in leading cross-functional teams and multi-site operations.

+ Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, systems, and technologies.

+ Strong financial and business acumen, including P&L management and cost structure optimization.

+ Demonstrated success in customer engagement and market-back decision-making.
