Westat's research, technical, and administrative staff of more than 2,000 is located at our headquarters in Rockville, Maryland, near Washington, DC.

Westat is seeking an Oncology Research Nurse (Senior Research Associate) to participate as a member of a research team studying genetic, clinical, and environmental factors associated with cancer in individuals, families, and other populations.

This position requires onsite work at our client location in Rockville, MD.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in the implementation of study protocols.

• Coordinate the collection of study data and biospecimens.

• Perform data entry and quality control.

• Participate in an interdisciplinary team supporting clinical evaluation and follow up.

Basic Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in nursing with 5 years of experience and at least 3 years of experience in adult and/or pediatric oncology nursing.

• Demonstrated experience in genetic research.

• Current RN licensure.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A master’s degree or equivalent in nursing, public health, or related field.

• Able to collaborate effectively with teams, managers, and/or clients.

• Demonstrated communication and organizational skills.

• Strong attention to detail.
