    Job Description

    The Collections Accountant, Accounts Receivable, will be an integral part of the Accounting team, focusing on cash collections, supplier account reconciliations, and related duties.

     

    Position Reports to Director, Accounts Receivable and Data Analysis. **This role will follow a hybrid/flexible work schedule with time split between in office and remote.**

    Job Responsibilities

    • Improve cash flow by increasing collections efforts

    • Reconcile customer accounts and assist billing team with resolving discrepancies

    • Proactively identify problematic accounts to Senior Management and Sourcing

    • Work with Sourcing and supplier to resolve collection issues

    • Process Accounts Receivable journal entries

    • Process refunds

    • Participate in the implementation of process improvements to improve accounts receivable collections

    • Assist with monthly Sourcing agendas and take meeting notes

    • Log and manage dispute support incidents as needed

    • Special projects as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Success in collecting significant receivables

    • Demonstrated ability to review and comprehend contract terms

    • Proficiency in Accounting software and Microsoft Excel

    • Ability to take initiative, think out-of-the-box to resolve issues and identify opportunities

    • Well organized and able to effectively manage multiple priorities

    • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with an ability to build relationships with all levels of management, and corporate business partners

    • Team player

     

    Overnight Travel Requirements. None

     

    Years of Relevant Experience. 3-4 years of experience in accounting and/or collections/billing required

     

    Education Requirements. BS/BA in accounting, finance, or a relevant field required
