We are seeking a Buyer II to join our dynamic Supply Chain team in Newberg, Oregon. This role is perfect for someone who excels in managing purchase orders, driving supplier performance, and leveraging MRP and Excel tools to support efficient operations. You'll work closely with Planning, Production, Engineering, and Quality to keep our supply chain moving smoothly and strategically.
What You’ll Do:
+ Analyze and act on MRP signals to ensure material availability and maintain optimal inventory levels
+ Issue and manage domestic and international purchase orders in alignment with production schedules
+ Collaborate with internal departments to support end-to-end supply chain visibility and performance
+ Maintain accurate item master and supplier data in ERP/MRP systems
+ Use Excel tools (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query) for data analysis and reporting
+ Monitor supplier performance and drive improvements in delivery, quality, and cost
+ Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for material shortages and delays
+ Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives within procurement and supplier management
+ Contribute to cost reduction and value creation efforts
What We’re Looking For:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or a related field
+ 3+ years of experience in a buyer, purchasing, or procurement role (manufacturing environment preferred)
+ Strong understanding of MRP systems and supply chain planning concepts
+ Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze large data sets and create reports or dashboards
+ Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Syteline, Intuitive, SAP, Oracle)
+ Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
+ A continuous improvement mindset and a proactive approach to workflow optimization
Preferred Qualifications:
+ APICS (CPIM or CSCP) or ISM certification
+ Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
+ Experience with supplier development or strategic sourcing
