Introduction

Your role and responsibilities

Application Developer, IBM Corporation, Sandy Springs, GA (Up to 100% telecommuting permitted):

* Act as Technical Lead for Mainframe Modernization and collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and design system enhancements.

* Leverage healthcare industry knowledge to maximize NPS utilization and performance.

* Develop test scenarios, test plans, and lead implementation and cut-over activities.

* Conduct research and lead production issue resolution activities.

* Review system capabilities to support specific business needs.

* Engage with client teams to implement process improvements and enhance efficiency and productivity.

* Manage mainframe environments, monitor inventory, and resolve system issues.

* Oversee customer request workload and ensure timely delivery.

* Conduct peer review and walk-through of system enhancements.

* Design, develop, architect and test solutions/enhancements according to business requirements.

* Promote code into production, validate, and monitor output.

* Create and maintain technical design documentation.

* Perform estimates and designs for small to medium Customer Requests.

* Participate in quality assurance and code reviews.

* Engage in discover workshops to document legacy mainframe applications.

* Utilize: VS COBOL II, CICS, JCL, DB2 Database, Geno, REXX and TortoiseSVN.

Required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master’s degree) and one (1) year of experience as an Application Developer or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing VS COBOL II, CICS, JCL, DB2 Database, Geno, REXX and TortoiseSVN. $149760 to $162100 per year. Full time. AV103.
