Senior Conformity Assessment Program Specialist

Responsible for providing Conformity Assessment guidance and assistance to ensure consistent implementation of corporate policies, UL Solutions service governance and Conformity Assessment principles, and other applicable requirements within an assigned geographical and/or functional area. Leads projects with manageable risks and resource requirements related to Conformity Assessment Scheme development, optimization, management and/or consultation.
+ Conduct research and analysis on a range of conformity assessment, regulatory and technology issues in support of function responsibilities, taking into account the related market and customer needs, trade policy, regulations, UL Policies and Requirements, accreditation requirements and other stakeholder requirements, including:
+ Conformity Assessment Scheme development
+ Conformity Assessment Scheme Management and optimization and/or
+ Consultation activities,
+ Develop and present conclusions and recommendations related to research and analysis activities.
+ Take a new perspective on existing solutions and exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
+ Lead projects or project steps within a broader project or have accountability for on-going activities or objectives.
Minimum Knowledge Preferred
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, International Relations, Business Administration, Political Science or related field.
+ 6 years related experience or demonstrated competency, with a preference for experience in performing conformity assessment activities, such as evaluation, inspection, testing, assessment, internal audit, etc.
+ Knowledge of and ability to learn and understand technical vocabulary common to conformity assessment services.
+ Experience with regulations and applied conformity assessment.
+ Experience with UL Solutions conformity assessment services, organizational structure and expert/horizontal/support functions.
+ Understanding of relevant international conformity assessment standards (CASCO toolbox) and their applications.

+ Second language advantageous but not necessary except where required based on assigned geographic area.
+ Strong communication, interpersonal, networking and presentation skills.
Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $81,000 to $108,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 10% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
