The Social Media Marketing Specialist I position exists to maintain, cultivate, and assist the Social Media Strategist in growing Focus on the Family’s social media audience. This position will use social media expertise to coach Content Producers and inform stakeholders on best practices for all social media platforms. This position will be responsible for assisting in the development of social media content strategy, while occasionally writing, designing, capturing, and/or editing original content for various social media platforms and campaigns. This position will work with the Social Media Strategist to ensure that the proper message is being communicated in the appropriate social media channels in support of quarterback initiatives and ministry priorities. This position will stay current on best practices in social media and assist the Social Media Strategist with trending research, testing, and development across Focus on the Family’s social media channels. This position will assist the Social Media Strategist in creating social media analytics reports, to ensure that core outcomes and ministry KMI’s are being correctly prioritized in the social media space.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
+ Assists with the curation, development, and creation of original content for a variety of social media channels, including submitting requests and reviewing creative assets
+ Assists in the maintenance of Focus on the Family social media accounts, including scheduling and coordinating promotion and advertising activities with other channels
+ Assists in creating social media marketing activity reports
+ Learns, reports, and maintains documentation on best practices, industry standards and legal guidelines associated with social media
+ Participates in on-going training and education around social media best practices
+ Coaches content producers toward creating quality, on-brand content for social media that will result in identified desired outcomes
+ Uses social media, marketing, and web tools to publish, moderate, and analyze social media and accompanying website content
+ Enters Aprimo Activities, including source code requests
Other Duties/Responsibilities:
+ Must be available outside normal business hours to moderate and publish on Focus on the Family’s various social media channels
+ Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge/Experience:
+ 0-2 years of experience in social media marketing
+ Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
+ Knowledge of popular social media platforms and content
+ K nowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Cloud products and/or other video editing and graphic design tools
+ Knowledge and experience with social media publishing and analyzation tools such as Sprout Social or Hootsuite is a plus
Skills, Abilities and Special Talents/Gifts:
+ Video, writing, photography, and/or graphic design skills
+ Clear and effective writing and editing skills
+ Strong organizational skills
+ Strong computer skills
+ Ability to handle organizing, executing, and analyzing multiple marketing activities and social media campaigns at once in a deadline-driven environment
+ Ability to acquire new technical knowledge with ease
+ Ability to work well in a team, to shine as an individual, and to maintain a sense of humor
+ Ability to analyze data based on logical thought processes
+ Ability to think creatively
+ Ability to resolve conflicts in a professional and Christ-like manner
+ Coaching and client management skills preferred
Pay Range: $24.00 to $27.50
