    The Schwab Technology Services (STS) Portfolio & Project Management (PPM) organization partners with Business and Technology Leaders to prioritize and execute technology work for strategic business sponsored initiatives, enhancements, as well as standard technology operations, production support, and technology enablement to ensure STS capacity is focused on the most important work for the company.

     

    Project Managers are responsible for establishing and leading enterprise-wide, cross functional strategic initiatives. They lead a variety of different types of projects including launching new products and services, large-scale application development, systems integration, operational efficiency improvements, process reengineering, and infrastructure upgrades and deployments. We are currently transitioning to a scaled agile model, therefore this role will need both traditional project management, as well as scaled agile methodology experience.

    Position Responsibilities:

    + Accountable for defining, planning, orchestrating, and delivering a given strategic initiative including business, operational, and information technology deliverables for the Fraud teams

    + Ensures end results are of the highest caliber with a clearly articulated scope and quantifiable business benefit

    + Directs large-scale, complex projects often involving multiple internal and external constituents and partners

    + Directly manages all aspects of the project life cycle and oversees all phases of a project

    + Rigorously drives scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed upon time, cost, and quality parameters

    + Validates financial forecasts, cost assumptions, and provides on-going reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures

    + Works with resource managers to ensure that resource capacity planning is accurately forecast, and provides ongoing reconciliation of actual time spent against forecasts

    + Defines and tracks project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan

    + Identifies and mitigates project and program level risks and issues

    + Partners with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to track Agile development milestones and support Agile practices as needed

    + Manages team and stakeholder relationships to ensure effective delivery and thought partnership

    + Facilitates problem-solving and resolves stakeholder conflict

    + Teaches, coaches, and mentors team members to remove roadblocks and drive project execution

    + Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision both written and verbally

    + Demonstrated sound business and technical acumen

    + Focused and versatile team player that is comfortable under pressure

    + Understanding of cross-functional dependencies and how they impact project execution

    + Expertise with financial data and the technology, tools and processes that support work and projects/programs

    + Expert understanding of various software development methodologies, including Agile/Scrum

    + Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

    + Ability to execute with limited information and ambiguity

     

    What you have

    Required Qualifications:

    + 8+ years of project management experience, managing multiple large, complex and cross functional projects, with emphasis on product development, systems, and technical environments

    + 8+ years of experience with project management tools and artifacts, including MS Project, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, project budgets, change requests, status reports, etc.

    + Demonstrated ability to mobilize and motivate teams, set direction and approach, resolve conflict, deliver tough messages with grace

    + Proven experience with and understanding of various software development methodologies, including Agile/Scrum

    + Proven ability to quickly build relationships and earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders

    + Demonstrated, applied experience establishing and delivering complex projects

    + Demonstrated experience playing an active role implementing a scaled agile methodology

    + BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Background/experience in financial services and/or fraud industry

    + Prior Schwab Project Management experience

    + PMP or PMI-ACP certification

     

    In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.

    CO Salary Range: USD $125,000.00 - $168,000.00 / Year
