Leads a team of repair technicians performing repair services on customer equipment. Monitor
technician training, quality, and productivity. Perform modular and limited component level repair of
Zebra devices under service contract in a workbench environment. Utilizes goo soldering skills. Provides
load/test software application processes and demonstrates basic networking and PC skills.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
Evening shift: Sunday - Thursday 3:00PM - 11:30PM
Responsibilities:
• Acts as a SME for assigned work area. Trains employees on work process. Acts as an escalation
point for novel problems.
• Demonstrates Zebra’s core values consistently and strongly. Is seen as a role model for others.
• General knowledge of job related policies and procedures as well as corporate policies and
procedures that may impact role functioning.
• Provides repair services and solutions of customer equipment requiring little to no supervision.
• Performs logistical tasks, trouble shooting, repairs (mechanical or electrical in nature), testing,
and cleaning of customer returned products.
• Performs tasks associated with evaluating and validating customer complaint information,
repair history, and contract entitlements.
• Troubleshoots quickly and accurately based upon information given, observations, and/or
product knowledge.
• Thorough understanding of the top common failure modes of products in areas of expertise.
• Performs work method analysis and develops best practices for a variety of operations along
with setting standard work times. Analyzes data and trends associated to repeat repairs with
ability to implement corrective actions.
• Ensures that the test equipment, devices under test, and the testing environment are correctly
maintained such that test results are not compromised with full understanding of maintenance
and calibration programs.
• Regularly contributes ideas and supports the implementation of continuous improvement action
items.
• Performs tasks associated with servicing customer product using both mechanical and
electronic based skills. To include: electronic/mechanical repairs, board level repairs,
cleaning, loading software/firmware, testing, and final inspections.
• Effectively distributes work, providing performance guidance as needed.
• Applies basic knowledge of electronic principles.
• Documents records of work performed to resolve customer issues.
• Basic PC skills, MS office etc.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 4+ years
• Experience as a repair technician, having performed repair operations to required quality levels and job
standards.
• Knowledge of computers and test equipment is required.
Preferred:
• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required
• Possess and demonstrate good leadership skills and abilities.
• General math skills.
• Prior use of various hand tools.
• Works well with others.
• Works independently
• Resolves difficult technical issues and makes recommendations.
• Strong job knowledge and training ability.

Salary: USD 59800.00 - USD 89800.00 Yearly
Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
