    Description:

    Supervisor, Imaging Services

    + Coordinate and supervise activities of technical associates within all modalities of Radiology Imaging Services. Ensure the efficient delivery of imaging services to all patients using the available resources.

    + Assure compliance with established Hospital, Imaging Services, and regulatory standards as well as adherence to established hospital and imaging services department policies and procedures. Supervise and direct technologists and ancillary personnel in their assigned areas.

    + Participate in the preparation of budgets for all modalities and for operations within the parameters of that budget.

    + Supervise assigned technical staff and activities to ensure efficient, effective, timely, and continuous operation and delivery of imaging services. Establishes priorities, assigns work, and monitors performance, quality, service delivery and productivity. Assigns and reassigns work based on experience level and workload.

    + Responsible for working with leadership in the preparation of the annual budget for all modalities and responsible for operating within the parameters of that budget.

    + Analyze and identify improvement using LEAN methodologies and continuous improvement efforts.

    + Ensure that the job instruction sheets are updated and utilized to provide the most efficient and patient-focused experience.

    + Responsible for the assessment of the operation of equipment and reporting of unresolved issues. Ensure that appropriate equipment is available and in good working order.

    + Responsible for supervising the following activities for work area: interviewing, selection, hire, training/orientation, recommendation of discipline/termination of associates. Evaluate competency, performance, and evaluation process.

    + Attend educational activities and remain current in areas of responsibility through self-study and attendance at seminars.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE

    + Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

    + Professional level knowledge of imaging technology theories, practices, procedures, and techniques as normally acquired through completion of a Radiography (2 years), Ultrasound (1 year), NM Technology Program or degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

    + Two to three years of progressively increased responsibility in an imaging technology setting; thereby, gaining knowledge of a wide variety techniques, procedures, and solutions; as well as exposure to a variety of equipment.

    + Current registry in at least one Modality of responsibility. This requires maintenance of a valid registration certificate.

    + Current Basic Life Support (BLS).
