Description:
Part Time Hours: 12 hour(7:00p-7:30a) night shift, every 3rd weekend, every other Holiday.
JOB SUMMARY
This position accepts the responsibility and accountability for the delivery of patient care with the multidisciplinary team while using the nursing process and maintaining professional nursing standards. Birth Center and Pediatrics are considered "sister" units and staff float are expected to float between these units.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Current RN licensure in the state of Iowa.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
Experience/Previous experience in obstetric care and / or acute care preferred.
Special Skills and Competencies:
Required successful certification of Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 6 months of hire.
Preferred professional certification in related to clinical specialty _(from the Magnet approved certification_ s)
Ability to work on multiple projects at one time and flexibility to meet department needs.
Self-motivated, detail oriented individual able to work with minimum supervision.
