Position Summary:

Manage the day-to-day preparation and distribution of payrolls for all divisions of Performance Food Group ensuring accuracy and meeting all pre-determined deadlines. Manage the overall departments’ functions and solves payroll related issues effectively. Work with department and system managers to ensure compliance and workflow. Manage the tracking of legal orders received through the registered agent. Responsible for PR funding. Function as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Position Responsibilities:

+ Manage all aspects of the weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing for all divisions of PFG. Manage payroll administrators to include, but not limited to: staffing, training, coaching, direction, performance management and problem resolution

+ Develop and implement payroll processes and procedures in order to achieve efficiencies across multiple interfacing systems. Facilitate issue resolution

+ Manage payroll processes to include: the garnishment and wage garnishment process service (WGPS) process including interpreting court orders, process flow for all garnishments, child supports and tax levies etc.; all special processing such as bonus runs, quarterly and year end adjustment/supplemental payrolls; calculation and processing of imputed income, i.e., relocation expenses, personal use of auto, awards, gifts, etc.

+ Manage the payroll process flow to G/L and communicates with the finance team concerning variances, adjustments and special payments; researches out-of-balances and variances

+ Manage projects to implement payroll-related initiatives, including all testing of new developments and modifications to front end systems, upgrades and special templates; develop and maintain payroll training material for operating companies and corporate payroll team; schedule and conduct all training as needed for new operating company payroll coordinators and new processes

+ Calculate, balance and authorize ACH wire transfers to fund all payroll related accounts each week for direct deposits, net pay, WGPS, 401k and tax

+ Foster a strong customer service relationship with the OpCo staff, Corporate and vendors

+ Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent practical experience and demonstrated career growth in payroll, including at least two years in a supervisory or managerial role

• 5 - 7 years of experience

• Payroll/accounting experience with a highly automated environment.

• Knowledge, expertise or significant exposure to a major ERP application (i.e. UKG, Workday, ADP, SAP, Oracle, Lawson, etc.).

• 1-3 years of supervisor/management experience.
