    Caring Transitions of Norwalk, CT is looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join the team in our Norwalk office. The BDR will sell services offered by Caring Transitions to current and new referral sources and clients.

    Position Summary

    The Business Development Representative is responsible for contacting and developing new referrals and qualified client leads. The overall goal is to drive referrals that will lead to new sales, develop the Caring Transitions brand in the local market and create new opportunities for the business by working closely with the business owner to accomplish these goals.

     

    The ideal candidate will have prior experience in sales or a related field for the senior living and/or real estate industries, strong multitasking ability, and excellent communication and follow-up skills. He/she will be an expert communicator with success in building brand and service awareness.

     

    Responsibilities and Duties (but not limited to)

     

    + Actively contact and follow up with leads by phone, email and in-person meetings, local travel in Norwalk and the surrounding towns required

    + Build and maintain trusted referral relationships with community partners such as assisted living facilities, memory care facilities, real estate professionals and family-law or estate attorneys, or any other referral partners that are relevant to the industry

    + Collaborate with Owner to develop local growth strategies and quarterly sales goals

    + Utilize branded materials, social media tools, training content and email campaigns to promote services and increase brand awareness

    + Participate in webinars, networking events, and community outreach to stay visible in the market

    + Develop new client leads and referral relationships

    + Provide regular activity reports and performance updates through FranConnect CRM tools

    + Respect and appreciation for seniors and their families

    + Exceptional customer service and communication skills

    + High integrity, honesty, accountability, and ethical standards

    + Local community knowledge is inherent or developed

    + Networking aptitude

    + Sales and marketing experience (1-year minimum)

    + Understanding of sales performance metrics

    + Must be comfortable using Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) or Google Docs Sheets

    + Would prefer CRM tools experience

    + Willingness to travel locally for meetings and events

    Requirements

    + High school diploma (college degree preferred)

    + Reliable transportation and valid driver's license

    + Able to work 15-20 hours a week with flexible scheduling

    + Must pass a pre-employment background check

    Compensation

    + $20 per hour

    + % sales commission on converted client leads and referrals

    + Mileage reimbursement per IRS guidelines and Caring Transitions travel policy
