Job Description:
Position Summary:
The Lead Instructional Designer / Content Developer plays a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, online academic courses and learning materials for international students for programs offered through UTD Global. This position requires expertise in instructional design, curriculum development, digital learning technologies, and cross-cultural pedagogy.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in instructional technology, education, communications, information technology, curriculum design or related field; five to seven years experience in course design, curriculum design or e-learning, preferably in higher education; experience with graphic and multimedia authoring software and Web site design software; experience in supervisory and managerial duties; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
+ Master’s degree in in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or a related field.
+ Familiarity with adult learning theories and culturally responsive pedagogy.
+ Experience in developing scalable content for online learners.
+ Quality Matters or similar certification.
+ Experience developing content for online courses and programs.
+ Strong project management and collaboration skills.
+ Proficiency in LMS platforms and digital learning tools.
+ Experience working with faculty and academic units.
+ Knowledge of best practices in online course and program development.
