Job Description:
The Assistant Dean of Graduate Education will work closely with the Dean of Graduate Education and the Assistant Dean for Graduate Student Success to provide oversight and support for graduate education at the University of Texas at Dallas. The Assistant Dean of Graduate Education must show innovation and creativity in improving the quality of all aspects of graduate education and modernizing the Office of Graduate Education operations. The Assistant Dean must show leadership qualities and an ability to work well with faculty, staff, students, and the outside community.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of a Graduate degree in a discipline related to the job function; minimum of five years of management experience in an academic environment or equivalent corporate environment. If this position has direct instructional responsibilities it will require a doctorate degree.
Preferred Education and Experience:
The Assistant Dean of Graduate Education must have experience at the graduate level in the American higher education system. Excellent communication skills and managerial experience are necessary.
