+ **Practice Detail:** The role will include 0.4 FTE administrative and 0.6 FTE clinical responsibilities. The Medical Director will serve to oversee physicians and surgeons within the Oncology space across our market, which includes 17 acute care hospitals and over 100 ambulatory care locations.

Responsibilities

Plan and direct medical policies and programs. Define and achieve financial targets in support of business goals; evaluate organizational functions and structure to best determine the allocation and utilization of services.

+ Facilitate strategic clinical relationships with physicians. Work with leadership to develop a strategic plan for growth of clinical practice.

+ Ensure that clinical programs are in compliance with governmental and regulatory requirements.

+ Implement utilization review and quality improvement systems. Implement educational programs and offerings.

+ May provide medical services to patients in an assigned area.

+ Prepare annual operating budget for assigned service areas.

+ Consult with planning and operations leadership in new program development. Supervise any assigned medical/resident programs.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

+ One or more of the following required:

+ Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

+ Podiatrist credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

+ Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Optometry (OD) or Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) required.

Additional Preferences

Board certified in oncology specialties

Prior leadership experience required.

Only Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board are accepted.
