Manpower Engineering is partnering with a leader in Manufacturing Sustainability for a 1 st shift, Maintenance Supervisor.
Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Pay: $40 - $45/hour
Duration: 6+ month, Contract to Hire
Overall Position Focus:
+ Manages team hours, projects, daily tasks, and responsibilities.
+ Responsible for setting maintenance and toolroom priorities and assigning work accordingly.
+ Provides coaching and feedback for team members.
+ Perform maintenance and toolroom functions in all areas with a primary focus on one of the following: Injection molding machines, automation, and assembly [building of test fixtures as well as assembly equipment (packaging, air tools, etc.)]
+ Collaborates, meets, and presents to the site leadership team regarding the department’s progress
+ Work with operations team members to troubleshoot issues and keep equipment running.
+ Vendor research and selection for new equipment and technologies, as well as roll-out.
+ Responsible for setting up new vendors and suppliers in SAP.
+ Will review current standard work and implement improvements.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Understands and promotes safety in the shop. Continuously practice safe work habits to keep accidents from happening. (Lock out/Tag out procedures, etc.)
+ Perform maintenance functions in all areas with a primary focus on one of the following: Injection molding machines, automation, and assembly [assist in building of test fixtures as well as assembly equipment (packaging, air tools, etc)]
+ Will assist, as needed, other maintenance personnel when requested. Will work with teams to get the job done. Friendly and approachable.
+ Oversee all ordering of repair parts, critical part lists, and stock as needed.
+ Must be able to work with vibrating tools such as impact wrenches and other tools.
+ The ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems in equipment and make repairs promptly.
+ Ability to train maintenance and toolroom personnel.
+ Must be able to work with high-voltage electricity safely.
+ Communicates well with others in the Maintenance Department, as well as other departments.
+ Maintains standards in quality and achieves daily requirements.
+ Leads lean and continuous improvement activities, including 5S, leader standard work, etc.
+ Responsible for updating and capturing all data for the daily management board.
Requirements:
+ 2-year technical degree.
+ 5+ years of directly related work experience, 3 years’ of supervisory experience preferred
+ Must know PLCs and be able to program and troubleshoot.
+ Must be willing to upgrade skills and learn new technologies continually.
+ Broad-based technical training or equivalent, demonstrable experience in hydraulics, electronics, pneumatics, mechanics, schematic readings.
+ Ability and experience in dealing with vendors and suppliers.
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools/systems.
+ Previous experience working with Maintenance Connect software.
+ Auto CAD software experience is ideal
Preferred Education and Skills:
+ Previous experience leading a team.
+ Knowledge and experience with industry-standard technologies like electronic sensors, motion-control systems, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
+ Program, maintain, and service the latest technology in manufacturing and industrial robotic systems.
+ Welding or machining experience.
+ HVAC systems certification.
