    What Your Job Will Be Like:

    Are you looking to play a pivotal role in enhancing employee health through expert care and innovative medical solutions in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment? If so, Organization 03732, Health & Wellness, is currently seeking an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join their team!

     

    The selected candidate, in collaboration with a physician, will provide medical care to Sandia National Laboratories employees and contribute to the coordination of care with case managers and benefits consultants.

    On any given day, one may be called upon to:

    + Provide diagnostic assessments, treatments, and referrals as required for chronic diseases (i.e., diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, obesity, depression/anxiety, and smoking cessation) and occupational and non-occupational acute injuries and illnesses

    + Research and report on a variety of medical issues, practices, and conditions

    + Interpret diagnostic tests and data, prescribe medications, and make independent health care assessments and referrals

    + Perform return to work evaluations

     

    Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite.

    Salary Range:

    $99,400 - $193,600

     

    *Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

    Qualifications We Require:

    + A Master's degree in Nursing, plus 4 years' experience with general medicine, medical practice, and patient advocacy

    + A current, active Nurse Practitioner licensure

    + The ability to acquire and maintain required applicable licensures

    + The ability to acquire and maintain a DOE L-level security clearance

    Qualifications We Desire:

    + 5 years' experience as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner

    + Experience managing chronic diseases (i.e., diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, obesity, depression/anxiety, and smoking cessation)

    + A proven ability in preparing and presenting on a variety of health-related topics

    + Experience with Acute Care and Urgent Care

    + Current, active Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications

    + Experience and demonstrated skill in conducting research, investigating alternative solutions, and recommending solutions on problems affecting medicine

    + Knowledge of and experience with patient advocacy, including the protection of patient health information

    + The ability to conceptualize and communicate to all levels of personnel

    + Knowledge of wellness center and health promotion principles, programs, and practices

    + The ability to model behaviors that reflect Sandia's core values

    About Our Team:

    Center 03700 is Sandia's multi-disciplinary health center which provides occupational medical services, acute care, walk-in health care services, prevention and wellness services, and behavioral health and EAP services to their employee population.

    Posting Duration:

    Security Clearance:

    Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. Applicants for employment need to be able to obtain and maintain a DOE L-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. If you hold more than one citizenship (i.e., of the U.S. and another country), your ability to obtain a security clearance may be impacted.

     

    Applicants offered employment with Sandia are subject to a federal background investigation to meet the requirements for access to classified information or matter if the duties of the position require a DOE security clearance. Substance abuse or illegal drug use, falsification of information, criminal activity, serious misconduct or other indicators of untrustworthiness can cause a clearance to be denied or terminated by the DOE, resulting in the inability to perform the duties assigned and subsequent termination of employment.

    NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs:

    If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.

     

    If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.
