Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Sr Manager of Accounting for it's telecom customers revenue recognition team. This person will have a variety of different responsibilities focused around month-end close processes but should be comfortable with revenue recognition and ASC 606 guidelines. The right person will have 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience and have experience working in a variety of ERP systems. As a Sr Manager, 90% of their responsibilities related to the close process will be in review but they should be comfortable performing related tasks themselves should the need arise. This includes but is not limited to reviewing contracts based on ASC 606 guidelines, performing journal entries, reconciliations, and task reviews. This role is part of an organization moving into a new Oracle ERP so the right person should also be comfortable helping to re-write and overhaul work papers, balance sheets, and other financial statements into the new ERP. All revenue recognized by this group is related to the retail sale of devices.

Skills and Requirements

- 8-10 years of progressive experience in accounting

- Strong understanding and application of ASC 606 guidelines

- Ability to perform month-end close responsibilities and demonstrated experience reviewing other's work

- Experience working in multiple ERPs, ideally Oracle (being a part of a migration is a plus)

- Hands on experience reviewing contracts and determining performance obligations

- Ability to perform work as needed outside of a written job description based on the needs of the team null
