Under the general supervision of the Director of Student Affairs, the Senior Office Assistant (Social Media) is responsible for enhancing the institution's digital presence through the strategic management of social media platforms and website content at Westchester EOC. The incumbent will:
+ Create, schedule, and manage engaging, culturally relevant content across various social media platforms.
+ Design and distribute email marketing campaigns targeting prospective and current students, alumni, and partners.
+ Set up and operate video, lighting, and sound equipment for digital content creation.
+ Capture photography and develop promotional digital materials, including graphics, videos, and multimedia assets.
+ Manage paid social media advertising to support enrollment and outreach initiatives.
+ Conduct audience research and monitor social media trends to apply innovative engagement strategies.
+ Analyze performance metrics using tools like Meta Insights and Google Analytics and prepare monthly reports for leadership.
+ Monitor social media channels and professionally respond to comments, messages, and mentions.
+ Provide office support and assist with administrative functions as needed.
+ Use various computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, and database software.
Job Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate must possess a minimum of an Associate's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field, and two years of experience in social media management, content creation or website maintenance, or digital marketing, preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting.
All candidates must have evidence of responsiveness to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of non-traditional adult students, as these factors relate to the need for equity-minded practice.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: It is preferred that the successful candidate possess:
+ Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer)
+ Basic graphic and video editing skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
+ Familiarity with website content management systems and SEO principles
+ Bilingual (Spanish/English) fluency
Additional Information:
POSITION EFFECTIVE: The position will remain open until filled.
SALARY & BENEFITS: The starting salary is $55,138. Additional compensation with seniority steps maximize at a salary of $67,566. Benefits include comprehensive health coverage, a choice of defined benefit or defined contribution pension plan, generous leave benefits, and access to tax sheltered annuities and a deferred compensation plan.
WORK SCHEDULE: The work schedule is Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm (one evening a week from 11:00am - 7:00pm).
