Job Summary and Qualifications

Operates radiological equipment in order to produce clinical diagnostic x-ray images upon the written order of a physician following established standards and policies.

+ Produces quality radiographs consistent with departmental policies and procedures.

+ Completes patient documentation specific to radiology exam and has knowledge and ability to telerad after-hour exams.

+ Assists physicians and radiologists during procedures.

+ Demonstrates sensitivity to the needs of the bariatric patient.

What qualifications you will need:

+ Must be a graduate of an AMA accredited program with a certificate or degree in Radiographic Technology.

+ Should adhere to ARRT guidelines of obtaining 24 continuing education credits bi-annually.

+ Must be ARRT Registered with ARRT – RT(R) or Registry eligible (must be registered within one year of completing program).

+ BCLS Required.

+ Two years of experience as RT(R) preferred. Will consider graduates.

+ On Call Required and must have the ability to report to LSMC within 30 minutes of call back.
