Where You’ll Work
This position is based in our Washington, D.C. office in the Metro Center area.
What You’ll Do
This part-time student internship will support the External Affairs team, providing the opportunity to better understand communications in the non-profit world and gain hands-on experience through project-driven learning.
+ Capture, edit and organize videos at CHA programs and events
+ Organizes footage, graphics, creates transcripts, assembles rough cuts, resizes videos and edits short form content
+ Assists in planning, creating, and managing video content and graphics for external communications including social media, email blasts, and newsletters
+ Assists in drafting content for digital and print materials for external communications Collaborates with External Affairs and Brand Communications teams to brainstorm ideas for promotional and event-related communication
+ Contributes creative ideas and suggestions for video editing techniques and storytelling methods
+ Attends team meetings; prepare project updates, weekly plans, and questions
Required Experience:
What You’ll Bring to CHA
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying:
+ Current college student pursuing a degree in a related field (e.g. Video Production, Communications, Digital Marketing, Graphic Design)
+ Experience writing social media copy and writing for communications
+ Excellent writing skills
+ Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Microsoft Office, Canva, is beneficial but not required
+ Related work or volunteer experience is beneficial but not required

Student interns are paid $18.00 per hour; compensation is based on location and is subject to change based on work location.?
