This high-technology plant is a new construction that has the latest in battery cell manufacturing technology. This $2.3 billion investment is among the largest battery cell manufacturing plants in the world. Ultium Cells produces battery cells for General Motors’ North American electric vehicle applications.

    Job Description

    Ultium Cells LLC is looking for a full-time IT Manager to sit at our Warren, OH plant.

    Job Responsibilities:

    + Infra Planning and Management

    + Establish, execute, and oversee Infra investment and operational budget plans

    + Submit and review Infra investment plans

    + Manage Infra contracts and payments

    + Infra Operations

    + Ensure stable operation and improvement of servers, software (SW), networks (N/W), databases (DB), and cloud systems

    + Proactively identify and swiftly resolve system failures and implement countermeasures

    + Communication Channel with Headquarters

    + Manage Infra-related issues

    + Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports on Infra issues, performance, and progress

    + Infra Asset Management

    + Register, utilize, and dispose of hardware/software assets in the inventory

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related Engineering field

    + At least 7 years of experience in IT and specific expertise in the following areas:

    + Server, software, network, and database management and operations

    + Virtual environment operations, including cloud systems

    + Implementation and execution of Infra projects

    + System monitoring and troubleshooting

    + Security implementation and management (firewalls, VPN, encryption, etc.)

    + Self-motivated with the ability to work in diverse teams

    + Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams to resolve issues

    + Willingness and ability to work flexible hours when needed to support the team

    + Effective communication and presentation skills

    + Proficiency in report writing and verbal communication using MS Office tools

    + Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean is preferred

    Employee may be exposed to or working with hazardous materials and/or hazardous waste. Upon hire, employee will receive initial Environmental training over RCRA, SWPPP, SPCC, and emergency escalation. Annual refresher training will be completed every year after to fulfill the requirements of 40 CFR. Other training to be provided as required.
