    About this role:

    Wells Fargo is seeking a Risk Analytics Director to be the Head of Allowance for Credit Losses (ACL), responsible for overseeing the firm’s quarterly ACL process as well as the forecasted ACL process required for stress testing (CCAR) and business loss forecasting.

     

    This position is a managerial position that reports to the Head of Credit Capital, Allowance and Stress Testing (CCAST) and will be responsible for the entire ACL process, including portfolio challenge and risk assessment, consolidation, governance, communication and reporting, both internally and externally.

     

    Due to the importance of the ACL to the firm, this is a high visibility role that has regular contact with senior leaders in the firm, as well as internal and external auditors and regulators. As a central point of ACL coordination across the lines of business, this individual will have frequent contact with leaders from other organizations within the firm as well.

    In this role, you will:

    + Engage, collaborate, and provide leadership to a cross functional team, responsible for the quarterly ACL, the quarterly internal stress tests, the annual stress test (CCAR), resolution and recovery planning exercises, business ACL forecasting as well as other forecasts and projections.

    + Provide ACL process oversight through consolidation, analysis, documentation, and reporting, in addition to addressing technical accounting issues in partnership with Enterprise Accounting Policy group.

    + Assess adherence to risk and compliance regulatory requirements and ensure operational excellence through strong program governance and controls.

    + Develop and maintain strong working relationships with auditors and regulators, providing transparency for the quarterly ACL process and associated changes through established quarterly update meetings.

    + Manage strategic line of business partnerships across the enterprise; integrate ACL processes within enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, such as risk identification.

    + Manage external SEC and Regulatory reporting, internal management reporting, ACL governance committee presentations well as Board committee reporting.

    Required Qualifications:

    + 8+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

    + 4+ years of management or leadership experience.

    Desired Qualifications:

    + 8+ years of experience with Allowance for Credit Losses, Loss Forecasting and CCAR/Stress Testing.

    + BS/BA degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.

    + Strong credit risk skills, credit model experience a plus.

    + Strong understanding of US GAAP, especially CECL guidance. Audit experience/CPA designation a plus.

    + High attention to detail.

    + Ability to provide credible challenge and candor to peers.

    + Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

    + Strong organizational and managerial skills.

    + Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and achieve goals in a dynamic environment.

    + Proficiency at both preparation of presentations and management reporting as well as formally presenting the materials to senior management.

    Pay Range

     

    Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

     

    $173,300.00 - $359,900.00
