    The University of Southern Maine’s Department of Environmental Science and Policy is seeking a Laboratory Associate.

     

    We are seeking a Laboratory Associate (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1\_PcMQ7oDCjkqTsYu2PfpEwlOdQRQdTx2/view?usp=sharing) to support ESP’s curriculum by managing laboratory spaces, equipment, and materials essential for teaching and student research. In addition to overseeing lab operations, the candidate will be responsible for teaching introductory laboratory courses and ensuring a high-quality, research-informed learning experience for students. The ideal candidate will have experience in diverse lab settings, including field-based, analytical, and instructional labs, and demonstrate technical expertise, strong organizational skills, a commitment to lab safety, and a willingness to explore innovative teaching methods and hands-on learning opportunities with students.     This is a full-time, 10.5-month (1.5 months off in the summer) position with a starting annual salary up to $44,200 located on our Gorham Campus.

    + At least one year’s experience working in an undergraduate laboratory or field setting.
