We seek a highly motivated Finance Manager to support our efforts to generate worldwide Ads revenue while helping Amazon Enterprise customers and Partners leverage our global advertising solutions. As a Finance Manager, you will work closely with business and finance leaders to develop financial models for both short and long-term business and financial goals, evaluate new business opportunities and investments, and drive strategic business initiatives to support growth. Additional responsibilities include monthly and quarterly reporting of financial performance, controllership of Marketing investments, creation of business metrics, and ad-hoc business analysis support. This role requires a self-starter with strong financial modeling abilities, problem-solving skills, a keen attention to detail and ability to dive deep, and someone that thrives in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations.
The successful candidate will have a strong business acumen, interpersonal and communication skills, and a proven track record of supporting decision-making, independently partnering with and influencing business partners, and working with various business units and stakeholders. Experience with big data using scalable analytics tools are a must.
Key job responsibilities
- Partner closely with business leaders to provide financial analysis to drive business growth and perform ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed.
- Identify and create metrics to understand the operational and financial health of the business and drive improvement.
- Develop quantitative models and business cases necessary for evaluation and implementation of new initiatives.
- Controllership of Marketing investments, understanding actuals, challenging variances and tracking action plans to bring financial results back to plan when necessary
- Analyze and test alternatives to continually refine our thinking on driving incremental Ads revenue.

From dissecting marketing strategies to presenting to the Finance, Sales, or Marketing VPs, you're constantly shifting between detailed analysis and big-picture thinking. Your financial acumen doesn't just inform decisions - it directly impacts the business's success and growth trajectory.
About the team
The broader Amazon Ads Marketing Finance team works closely with Ads Marketing to analyze advertiser insights, validate financial return on investments and business growth initiatives, and drive controllership across the organization.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
- 5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
