    Amazon's Financial Risk Mitigation (FRM) team we are committed to stop bad actors and dis-incentivize abusive seller behavior to ensure we offer trustworthy experience for customers and selling partners. We work to protect customers, selling partner experience, and amazon financials through large scalable solutions.

     

    We are looking for an experienced risk manager to own complex, high judgement decisions and escalations associated with our programs. You will be responsible for enhancing our internal audit mechanisms and managing complex escalations. You will leverage your expertise to drive continuous improvement in our risk management and compliance processes, providing valuable insights to senior leadership. You will conduct deep dive investigations and present your findings to legal and litigation teams. As a risk manager we expect the leader to define end to end program strategy, scope problems, design solutions with across stakeholders (ML, engineering, business, etc.). The role also requires skills to conduct complex data analysis, drive prioritization and alignment with stakeholders, deal with ambiguity, influence leaders and stakeholders across organizations at different levels.

     

    The ideal candidate for this role has a passion for investigating fraud and abuse and can make difficult decisions quickly. In addition to making the right decisions, the candidate will need to be able to use data and evidence to improve and automate existing internal audit mechanism.

     

    Key job responsibilities

     

    Develop and implement internal audit processes and drive continuous improvement to automate manual processes.

     

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve high-priority escalations and audit findings.

     

    Conduct risk assessments and contribute to the development of the annual audit plan.

     

    Participate in special projects and investigations as needed, providing subject matter expertise.

     

    Utilize data analytics and auditing software to enhance the audit process and identify potential risk areas.

     

    Analyze complex situations and synthesize information to produce clear, concise, and actionable reports for senior management.

     

    Drive end to end problem scoping, solution designing, implementation, and continuous improvement to deliver large scale high impact initiatives

     

    Set up mechanisms to track seller bad debt, identify fraud trends, measure the impact of initiatives, and define path to green or mitigation plans as needed

     

    Communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with audiences of all levels and geographies

    Basic Qualifications

    - 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience

     

    - Bachelor's degree or equivalent

     

    - Experience handling confidential information

    Preferred Qualifications

    - 3+ years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience

     

    - Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials

     

    - Experience with SQL and Excel

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
