    Description

Are you an experienced product leader with a passion for shipping great products? Are you inspired by re-inventing how people read and write digitally? Do you like the idea of seeing your work impact millions of customers? Do you love to read? Answer yes to any of these and you belong with Amazon Kindle. Kindle is among the bestselling products in the history of Amazon, with a rich legacy for driving customer-focused innovation. Our continued growth requires leaders who operate both strategically and tactically; think big to drive new opportunities; dive deep in data to uncover customer insights; break down and solve complex problems; and drive operational excellence for their teams.

Kindle is looking for a Principal PM-T to define and execute the growth strategy for Kindle across surfaces and global locales. This role is all about unlocking growth—by understanding our customer journey, identifying friction and opportunities across the funnel, and using product-led innovation to increase engagement, retention, and the overall size of the Kindle business.

This role requires someone who can think big: how do we bring more people to reading, and how do we encourage current readers to read more with Kindle? You’ll work closely with business intelligence, data science, design, engineering, and marketing to explore answers to those questions and turn them into experiments, features, and flywheels. You'll leverage Kindle’s Reading Challenges, Rewards and other behavior-shaping programs to deepen customer engagement, while also introducing a culture of rapid experimentation to test ideas quickly.

If you're passionate about the future of reading and writing and building products that become an essential part of people's daily lives, this role offers you the chance to make a lasting impact on how people engage with the written word in the digital age.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Drive a bold vision for the future of reading and writing on Kindle surfaces.

    • Deliver a roadmap that balances innovation with speed to deliver, and is grounded in deep customer and data insights.

    • Serve as a key influencer in developing and auditing business strategy, contributing significantly to the overall Kindle strategy, and customer engagement and analytics.

    • Work with teams across Amazon, and cross-functionally with design, research, engineering, and hardware team to deliver an inspiring product roadmap that balances short term wins with long term bets based on that vision.

    • Drive product launches including working with public relations team, executives, legal, marketing, customer service and other product management team members.

    • Role is global in nature and will work with teams in other countries.

    About the team

The Kindle Software Product Management team owns the customer facing software experiences across all Kindle devices and apps - ranging from how you read, write, navigate, acquire content and more.
