    Description

    Join Amazon's North America Destination Operations team as a Supply Chain Manager I, where you'll drive strategic initiatives and process improvements across our global logistics network. In this role, you'll take ownership of operations while managing relationships with both external and internal stakeholders to optimize our supply chain performance and enhance customer experience.

     

    Key job responsibilities

     

    - Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize network capacity across Amazon's business units

     

    - Analyze data and synthesize insights to enhance customer experiences and operational efficiency

     

    - Define metrics and develop program management mechanisms to drive decision-making

     

    - Lead cross-functional collaboration to achieve shared network capacity goals

     

    - Monitor and optimize key performance indicators throughout the supply chain network

     

    - Design and implement process improvements focused on logistics strategy and transportation optimization

     

    - Manage relationships with logistics service providers and carriers

     

    - Create and maintain scalable systems to enhance operational efficiency

    - Drive automation initiatives to improve supply chain performance

    A day in the life

     

    Your day begins with coordinating information flow between various stakeholders, including Logistics Service Providers, Origin Team, Vendor Managers, and Customs. You'll leverage internal tools to make real-time decisions that maintain delivery accuracy and lead times. Throughout the day, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, solve complex problems, and identify opportunities for process improvement. You'll regularly communicate with senior managers and business leaders, providing updates on key initiatives and metrics. The role requires adaptability as you navigate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, always focusing on delivering results that enhance our supply chain operations.

    Basic Qualifications

    - Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field

    - 1+ years of supply chain experience

    - Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

    - Knowledge of SQL

    - 1+ years of experience managing relationships with external logistics partners (e.g. transloaders or carriers)

     

    - 1+ years of experience implementing process improvements in a supply chain environment

    Preferred Qualifications

    - Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management or related field

     

    - Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies

     

    - Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI

     

    - Experience working with global logistics networks and international transportation

     

    - Knowledge of customs regulations and import/export processes

     

    - Familiarity with logistics service providers and carrier management

     

    - Experience identifying and mitigating risks in a complex logistics environment

     

    - Proven track record of implementing process improvements that resulted in measurable cost savings or efficiency gains

     

    - Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority

    - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment while managing multiple priorities

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $57,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $106,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
