Description
Join the team transforming healthcare at one of the world's most customer obsessed companies.
As an Internal Communications Specialist for Amazon Health Services, you'll shape how we engage with thousands of healthcare professionals—from pharmacists to physicians, and from technologists to corporate employees—who are on a mission to make what should be easy in healthcare, easier.
In this role, you'll craft communication strategies that inform, inspire, and connect our diverse healthcare teams across Amazon Pharmacy, One Medical, and other health initiatives within Amazon Health Services.
You'll have the unique opportunity to translate complex healthcare information into compelling narratives that drive our mission forward -- both internally and externally.
Key job responsibilities
What You'll Do:
- Develop and execute strategic internal communications plans that reach multiple audiences with tailored messaging that resonates with their specific roles and priorities
- Partner with leadership to craft clear communications about business priorities, organizational changes, and company initiatives
- Create engaging content across multiple owned channels including newsletters, intranet articles, all-hands meetings, and digital signage
- Build relationships across healthcare businesses to understand their unique communication needs and gather powerful stories that showcase our impact
- Measure the effectiveness of communications and continuously refine approaches based on audience feedback and engagement metrics
- Serve as a communications advisor to senior leaders, helping them connect authentically with their teams
- Manage high-visibility internal events, both virtual and in-person, that bring together our diverse healthcare workforce
- Collaborate with clinical engagement, external communications, and other teams to ensure consistent messaging across all audiences
A day in the life
Your morning begins reviewing analytics from yesterday's company update before joining your team's priority huddle. By mid-morning, you're helping the Chief Medical Officer craft communications about clinical workflow changes. After lunch, you refine a story highlighting exceptional customer service for the employee newsletter, then collaborate with technology and operations leaders on internal communication strategy for a new healthcare service. Your day concludes with facility walkabouts, connecting directly with healthcare staff to understand their information needs and gather authentic stories that bring our mission to life. All in a day's work - and all in an effort to inspire the employees who are dedicated to helping people find, choose and afford the products, services and professionals they need to get and stay healthy.
