Are you a culinary professional with a passion for excellence, mentorship, and operational precision? The Rescue Mission of Trenton is seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house team with a focus on culinary integrity, team development, and exceptional guest experiences.
About the Role:As Kitchen Manager, you will be the cornerstone of our culinary operations—overseeing kitchen execution, guiding team performance, and upholding the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. This is an opportunity to shape a kitchen culture rooted in professionalism, creativity, and continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Lead, mentor, and develop a team of culinary professionals through hands-on training and daily coaching
+ Ensure consistent execution of recipes, plating, and service standards
+ Manage kitchen operations including inventory, ordering, scheduling, and cost control
+ Uphold all food safety and sanitation protocols in compliance with local and national regulations
+ Collaborate with the Executive and Sous Chefs and leadership to ensure seamless service and satisfaction
+ Contribute to menu development and seasonal offerings with a focus on innovation and quality
Qualifications:
+ Minimum 4+ years of experience in a culinary leadership role (Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or equivalent)
+ Strong foundation in culinary techniques, kitchen systems, and food safety standards
+ Proven ability to lead, teach, and inspire a diverse kitchen team
+ Excellent organizational and communication skills
+ ServSafe Manager certification required
+ Culinary degree or equivalent experience required
