    Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a highly experienced Senior Storage Administrator to join its Classified Solutions team in Annapolis Junction, MD; the candidate selected for this position will be required to work on-site, full-time, at our Annapolis Junction campus - this is **not** a remote work opportunity.

    Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

    + Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of storage systems, including SAN, NAS, and DAS.

    + Monitor storage performance and implement tuning measures to ensure optimal operation.

    + Develop and manage backup and recovery strategies to protect data integrity and availability.

    + Ensure storage systems comply with security policies and industry regulations, implementing necessary security measures.

    + Diagnose and resolve storage-related issues, providing technical support to end-users and IT staff.

    + Work with network and systems administrators to integrate storage solutions with existing infrastructure.

    + Develop and maintain technical processes and procedures as needed.

     

    This position may be filled as a Level 3 or Level 4.

    Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:

    + Associate's degree with 7 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience, or PhD with 1 year of relevant experience; a High School diploma or equivalent with 9 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.

    Basic Qualifications for a Level 4:

    + Associate's degree with 10 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 6 years of relevant experience, or PhD with 4 years of relevant experience; a High School diploma or equivalent with 12 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.

    Basic Qualifications for Levels 3 and 4:

    + The selected candidate must have a current DoD Top Secret level security clearance (adjudicated within the last 5 years) or must be enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation (CE) Program, to be considered; additionally, the selected candidate must be SCI eligible; the required security clearance must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.

    + The selected candidate must agree to submit and successfully complete a polygraph examination as a condition to retain access to special program(s), and as a condition of continued employment.

    + The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Programs as a condition of continued employment.

    + Current Security+ CE or equivalent certification; the required certification must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.

    + Proficiency in storage management tools and technologies, such as RAID, iSCSI, Fiber Channel, and storage virtualization.

    + Experience leading a technical team of IT professionals.

    + Experience mentoring junior level IT professionals.

    + Experience giving technical presentations to technical and non-technical attendees.

    + Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.

    + Ability to work after hours and weekends as needed.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Current DoD polygraph.

    + Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Storage+, EMC Proven Professional, or NetApp Certified Data Administrator.

    + Experience with system design and architecture.

    + Experience with communicating with executive leadership.

    Salary Range: $100,300.00 - $163,020.00Salary Range 2: $124,900.00 - $202,930.00

     

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

     

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
