Description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support the financial operations of a well-established distribution company in San Diego, California. In this contract position, you will play a key role in managing essential accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team while maintaining high standards of organization and precision.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.

• Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll, adhering to compliance standards.

• Assist with month-end closing procedures and produce financial reports.

• Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, to maintain accuracy in financial records.

• Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation of all financial activities.

• Collaborate with the Controller to support audits and ad hoc financial projects.

• Ensure adherence to payroll and accounting compliance regulations.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and workflows

Requirements • At least 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within manufacturing or distribution industries.

• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar platforms.

• Solid understanding of payroll processing and compliance requirements.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to perform accurate account reconciliations and month-end close procedures.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and data entry.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.

• Experience with financial reporting and supporting audits.
