Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Andover, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and financial records. This position offers an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in accounts payable functions within a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process and verify invoices with accuracy, ensuring proper coding and compliance with company policies.

• Manage payment transactions, including ACH transfers, checks, and other payment methods.

• Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, invoices, and receipts to maintain accurate financial records.

• Utilize ERP systems and accounting software to streamline accounts payable operations.

• Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies to maintain positive relationships.

• Monitor and audit accounts payable transactions to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.

• Handle accrual accounting tasks and assist with month-end closing processes.

• Collaborate with internal departments to address inquiries and support financial reporting needs.

• Maintain organized records of accounts payable activities for auditing purposes.

• Support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency within the accounts payable function. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable processes and related functions.

• Proficiency with accounting software systems, including ERP platforms and Concur.

• Strong knowledge of account coding, three-way matching, and accrual accounting.

• Familiarity with automated clearing house (ACH) transactions and payment processing.

• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Ability to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies independently.

• Solid understanding of auditing practices and internal controls.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
