Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Support Specialist to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. In this role, you will assist the Accounting and Administration departments with essential tasks while providing backup support during peak workloads. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

• Digitize and save check and credit card runs, invoices, and miscellaneous documents as needed.

• Handle accounts payable credit card reconciliation, including researching charges, entering invoices, and processing monthly statement payments.

• Manage and reconcile garnishment accounts, ensuring timely payment and accurate recordkeeping.

• Provide backup support for front desk operations, including greeting visitors and managing sign-in procedures.

• Maintain office supplies by placing orders and organizing stock in the supply cabinet.

• Process incoming and outgoing mail efficiently and accurately.

• Apply cash receipts and match checks and credit card payments to appropriate accounts.

• Assist with additional duties as needed based on departmental demands or structural changes. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or related roles.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

• Strong skills in data entry and invoice processing.

• Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, and Oracle.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

• Ability to multitask effectively and prioritize urgent tasks.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
