Description
We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Project Manager- Facilities to lead and execute a large-scale corporate office relocation project in New Orleans. The ideal candidate will have experience in workplace strategy, construction coordination, move management, and vendor oversight to ensure a seamless transition of operations.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Project Leadership: Oversee the end-to-end planning and execution of a company-wide relocation initiative, including space planning, scheduling, and risk management.
+ Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between internal departments, real estate, IT, HR, and external vendors, including movers, contractors, architects, and designers.
+ Move Management: Lead physical move logistics, including inventory tracking, employee communication, records management and ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
+ Facility Readiness: Ensure new location is fully operational, including all building systems, furniture, IT infrastructure, and compliance with safety codes.
+ Budget Oversight: Develop and manage project budgets, track expenses, and report on financial performance.
+ Timeline Execution: Maintain a detailed project timeline with milestones, ensuring all phases of the move are completed on time.
+ Vendor Management: Select, contract, and supervise service providers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ 5+ years of experience in facilities project management, with at least 2 years focused on relocation projects.
+ Proven track record of managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines.
+ Knowledge of building systems, space planning, and project management tools.
+ Experience working with design teams, general contractors, and municipal permitting agencies.
Preferred Skills:
+ PMP or LEED certification is a plus.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication.
+ Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
+ Ability to work evenings or weekends during critical move phases.
